Today’s Chart of the Day comes from a Capital Group article called “Can midterm elections move markets?

I believe we all already know this information, but possibly not the exact figures. The article states that over 90 years, "the past 22 midterm elections, the president’s party has lost an average of 28 seats in the House of Representatives.” However, “the Senate is usually a toss-up.”
